I am grateful to have been among the students selected to be part of the first semester of Liberty University's student-led graphic design agency, Open Quote Creative in 2023. Our first order of business was naming and branding the agency itself. The three design teams worked to design, revise, and pitch, until a stand-out brand identity was formed. Following this, my team was charged with creating collateral materials, including social media, apparel, and environmental graphics.
Utilizing the newly established branding, including the patterns, icons, and colors, I designed a mural to hang on the 17-foot wall that was most easily seen by agency members as well as prospective students who toured the building. My goal for this mural was that it would be a present reminder to the student designers to be bold unafraid to push the boundaries in their designs. The letters that made up our tagline "Where Design Speaks Louder" were to be 3-dimensional: physical representation of thinking outside the box.
